Number System Basics, Place and face value

Hello friends, in this post we will discuss basics of number system. We will discuss what is number system, types of numbers, face and place values of digits in number. 

Que what is number system? 
Answer A system in which we study different types of numbers their relationship and rules govern in them is called number system. 

Face and place values of the digits in the number
Face value
In a numeral the face value of a digit is the value of the digit itself irrespective of its place value in numeral. 
For example In the numeral 879654 the face value of 8 is 8 and 7 is 7 and so on. 

Place value
In a numeral the place value of a digit changes according to the change of its place. 
For example 
In the numeral 23897
Place value of 8= place value of thousands digit
=Digit at thousands place × 10^3
= 8 × 10^3 = 8000

Profit is when we earn some money after transaction of amount in business and Loss is when we loss some money after transaction in business. There are two types of prices in business one at which we purchase the product known as Cost Price and second at which we sell the product known as Selling Pri ce.
